Hello Kitty coin purse

I wanted to share my cute coin purse with you, my reader. I found this in Myeong-dong in Seoul, South Korea when I was there last year. I think it was around 11 000 KRW which is about £6.7 or 9.4€. I thought it was an OK price because these silicone coin purses last a long time. As you can see from the photo it hasn’t gotten dirty yet even though it lived in my bag for a long time. Right now I’m storing my left over coins there (one’s that I can’t use here where I live now). Continue reading

Teddy bear chewable vegan vitamin

Today’s post is about a chewable vegan vitamin and omega 3 supplement that is shaped like the teddy bear gummy candies. These are not gummy candies though. They are jelly candy supplements that have been made without animal based gelatin. These teddy bears contain vitamins A, C, D, E B3, B5, B6 and B12 and omega 3.

In my opinion they taste like any generic orange flavoured candy and are nice and chewy to eat. I did enjoy taking them in the mornings after my breakfast and think that these would be a great way to have even picky children take their vitamins. Unfortunately I can’t comment on how effective these vitamin teddy bears are but what I can say is that I did not notice any difference between taking these and taking the usual pill type vitamins so to me they appear to be just as good.

The plastic teddy bear packaging is a cheap looking and feeling but I don’t mind that as I wanted to try these out of curiosity. I have already decided on how I’ll re-purpose the container 🙂 The teddy bear’s head attaches to the body quite firmly which is a plus as you are supposed to eat only 1 or 2 a day depending on your age (I think children would want to eat them all due to the good taste). You can see in the first picture that the important information is printed on the cap and I would recommend writing the opening date on it too as these are good to use only for 3 months from opening.

All in all, I liked of the jellies and think it’s a product that is worth it’s value even though my teddy has some problems with his eye 😀 I bought mine from Holland and Barrett in the UK and was smart enough to buy them when they were half-priced. The normal price of them is higher than those vitamin pills but still cheaper than the ones sold at Boots.

Vanilla Brulee products by the Body Shop

I wanted to make a post about the new Vanilla Brulee Christmas scented products that I bought from Body Shop. The other two Christmas scents did not smell so special to me so I don’t have any from those ranges. One thing that I noticed first was that all the products have slightly different scents even though they are under the same name. I’m guessing the differences are due to consistencies but as I have not researched the topic I can’t say anything definitive. Overall, the Vanilla Brulee line has a very sweet scent and people who enjoy the smell of honey will like it very much.

I had a problem with one of the products though. I got an allergic reaction from the Vanilla Brulee Lip Balm and would recommend anyone with allergies to avoid it. I’ll talk more about it later in the post. Continue reading

Chocolate bar mirror

ABM_1418122477I wanted to share this cute chocolate bar mirror that I bought from the big Daiso in Myeong-dong in Seoul in South Korea. It’s cheap and small but oh so cute 😀 I paid like 2 000 KRW for it which is around 2USD/ 1.5€ / £1.1. It is surprisingly sturdy and the mirror isn’t warped much. This normally lives in my purse organisers so that I can always check on my make up.

Since there isn’t much to talk about the actual mirror, I thought that maybe you’d like to know a bit more about Daiso. I can’t really explain well where this Daiso that I visited in Myeong-dong is because I went there only once (i mean went to the Daiso only once) but if you spend a bit more time wondering the things in the area you will not be able to miss it. It has stairs down from the street level and has pretty good selection of stuff available. There is a nice little Daiso in Hoegi opposite of the subway station (might have visited that quite often).

Anyway, what is Daiso? Daiso is a Japanese store chain that is available in several countries. Daisos mostly sell every day goods and lots of plastic or rubber items. You can find tissues, mugs, cups, spoons, slippers, cleaning agents, mirrors, combs, highlighter pens, fake flowers and lots of other things from there. Usually the items have good prices and I personally didn’t feel the need to find cheaper stores. Most of the things Daiso sells are very cute and handy, like they don’t have awkward to use items.

I recommend checking Daisos if you visit or live in countries where they have them.

Benefit’s Feelin’ Dandy lip and cheek kit

Today I wanted to talk about the Benefit’s Feelin’ Dandy kit as I bought it from Boots and thought that maybe someone would like to give it as a Christmas gift. I have had mine for about two weeks now and have used all of the items in it and can give my honest opinions of them.

The kit comes with a 4 mL Posietint, 4 mL Highbeam, 3 g Dandelion powder, tiny blush brush and 6.5 mL Ultra Plush Dandelion lipgloss. The kit cost me £25.5 when I bought and I consider it to be of good value because the items seem to last a long time in my use. I mean that you only need to use a very small amount of Highbeam to highlight your face and  the same with Posietint as it gives a sheer glow to the lips and cheeks (not a full on pinky colour). Dandelion powder I mostly use as highlighter or a blush topper as it has almost no colour to it. The Ultra Plush Dandelion lipgloss is  sheer and slightly coral-ish glittery lipgloss. In my experience the colour of the lipgloss does not show up so it can be used like any other glittery lipgloss. It doesn’t have a noticeable scent and it’s not sticky much (I don’t really notice the stickiness when I use it). See swatches below for better reference. Continue reading

Hello world!

I’m building my own blog that will mostly focus on make up and cute things. There might be other content depending on my mood. I’m making this blog so that I can tell others about stuff that I find cool or interesting but there is no career or commercial interest in the background. My friends and mum often ask me about what products I like of or if I have tried any holy grails and that made me want to share my finds with the rest of the world.

My blog will be in two languages and I plan to separate my posts somehow nicely but not sure how I’ll do it all yet 🙂
